Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing firm, and we are recruiting for a Contractor – Nuclear Software Quality Engineer (NQA-1) – 2008, 2009, and 2022 to serve within the Enterprise Software Team of a leading advanced nuclear company.

Minimum Qualifications
* Education: B.S. or B.A. degree required; technical degree preferred. Equivalent experience (10+ years) may be considered.
* Experience:
o 5+ years in development or implementation of nuclear quality assurance programs.
o Must have worked in the nuclear industry.
o Proficiency with ASME NQA-1 (2008, 2009, 2015, 2022), ASME BPVC Section III, and IEEE standards.
o Commercial nuclear plant experience or nuclear field experience preferred.
o Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
o Experience maintaining documents in accordance with ASME NQA-1, IEEE 7-4.3.2, and NRC Regulatory Guides 1.52, 1.168–1.173.
o Experience in code development under a quality program is preferred
About The Role
We are seeking a Contractor – Nuclear Software Quality Engineer (NQA-1) – 2008, 2009, and 2022 to support regulatory-compliant software development and engineering operations. This limited-duration contract role is focused on updating software plans, procedures, and work instructions required for design and analysis engineering, code development, procurement, and document control under an NQA-1 quality framework.
This position will ensure compliance with NQA-1 2008, 2009, 2015, and 2022 standards, ASME BPVC Section III, and applicable IEEE software regulations. Candidates must have prior nuclear industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate the adequacy and efficiency of existing software programmatic infrastructure against NQA-1 2008, 2009, 2015, and 2022 frameworks.
* Prepare plans, procedures, and desktop instructions for software in compliance with NQA-1, IEEE, and ASME BPVC Section III standards.
* Provide guidance to departments on software regulatory compliance.
