We seek an engineer who can bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, with a clear understanding of both fields. Required Skills At least 2 years of working experience in a cloud-native environment on one of the major public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure), with a preference for Azure experience. Knowledge of Big Data architectures, both cloud and on-premise. Experience with Azure infrastructure and networking. Proven ability to build and deliver proofs-of-concept to address specific business needs using appropriate techniques, data sources, and technologies. Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments. Experience monitoring distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source tools like Grafana or Prometheus. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting. Knowledge of SQL. Experience working with Agile methodologies and Kanban. Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure ETL/ELT tools. Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, or equivalent in other cloud providers like AWS, Oracle, or GCP. Preferred additional skills: other Big Data certifications (e.g., Cloudera, Databricks), experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT tools (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter), and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau).
