We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Chemical Engineer to support operations at a key Oil & Gas production site.
The selected candidate will oversee all chemical-related activities, including laboratory operations, chemical injection management, and technical analysis, while ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
This role requires strong collaboration with production teams, field engineers, and HSE personnel to optimize chemical performance, support operational decisions, and drive continuous improvement in laboratory and treatment practices.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all laboratory and chemical operations comply with internal quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Define chemical strategies and injection instructions, assess HSE risks, and contribute to the development of chemical treatment plans and procurement strategies.
Monitor and optimize chemical injection rates; manage chemical stock levels and ordering to ensure operational efficiency and cost control.
Lead process improvement initiatives, test and evaluate new chemical products, and modernize laboratory procedures to enhance performance.
Manage daily laboratory workflows, ensuring efficient operation, accurate reporting, and full regulatory compliance.
Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff, promoting a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
Deliver timely and accurate technical analyses, interpret data to identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate closely with Production, Field Engineering, and HSE teams to develop safety documentation, technical recommendations, and operational insights.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
(Compulsory)
Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong expertise in chemical injection systems, and equipment management.
Experience of laboratory supervision and understanding of laboratory techniques will be considered as a plus
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Fluent Italian and English
