At AAR we are committed to doing it right, and we have built our core values based on that premise. : F-16 CFT Maintenance Supervisor 15414 Description Pending Task Order Award SUMMARY The F-16 Maintenance Supervisor manages and supervises aircraft maintenance performed and will oversee work performed by multiple disciplines. This role will inspect modifications and repairs made to F-16 aircraft performed. This includes inspecting on-equipment repairs, validating corrective actions, reviewing maintenance records, researching technical data and relevant drawings, and coordinating with host unit for requirements beyond the scope of the contract or team capabilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Integrates with the host squadron, advises host squadron of schedule requirement and production issues as they pertain to squadron aircraft. - Manages general services, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure that modifications, inspections and repairs are accomplished per applicable engineering and technical data. - Manages the overall automated system for inducted aircraft. Ensures, work-orders are created to support part requisition, configuration changes and electronic equipment Log updates. - May supervise multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment that consists of Military, AAR, Program Partner - Contractors and 3rd Party Touch Labor Contactor employees. - Ensures workforce follows appropriate technical and DoD instructions. Advises management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. - Ensures good housekeeping and safety practices are enforced. - All other duties as assigned CORE COMPETENCIES - Strategic Management - Being connected & Respectful - Building relationships and partnerships - Coaching & Feedback - Accountability Qualifications - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance - Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). - Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd shift as needed - Must be able to work in various CONUS/OCONUS locations and deploy to modify or repair aircraft from various locations and possibly aboard ships EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. - At least of 4 years working F-16 aircraft experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Flight Line Operations. - Must have leadership experience in an F-16 aircraft maintenance environment. - Must meet 1 of the following requirements: - A Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience - An Associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience - A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience - 11 years of recent specialized experience Desired Skills: - F-35, F-22, F-15, A-10, or F-18 aircraft experience. - Understanding of USAF and/or USN maintenance practices - Strong verbal and written communications skills for coordinating with Field Service Representatives, and Maintenance Managers on schedules, aircraft status and issues as they occur. - Effective communication skills for coordination at all levels throughout maintenance structure to include Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics Support Managers - Proficient in the use Microsoft Office products - Ability to develop and present formal briefings and presentations Quick Response Team or Contractor Field Team experience. - Ability to develop necessary maintenance plans and procedures Excellent organizational, administration, Microsoft Office Suite, and computer skills - Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height. - Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs, including walking up and down stairs, aircraft maintenance stands, and platforms - Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday - Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
