Your contribution to the energy transition
As the successful candidate, you will manage all aspects of the procurement/purchasing activities for PV projects in Italy. Responsibilities will lie in both the project and strategic purchasing areas. Purchasing scope covers all local components & services, as well as other supplies (in coordination with JUWI HQ in Germany). Overall personal responsibility for co-ordination and monitoring of all procurement-related activities (including logistics and post sales related activities) within the project team. You can look forward to the following tasks;
5. Ensure cost-quality optimized goods and services are purchased for our projects, on suitable terms for delivery, cost, payments and quality to meet project timescales and milestones
6. Seek, identify and engage appropriate suppliers for project-related goods and services
7. Lead the negotiation of contract terms and pricing with both internal and external stakeholders; full responsibility of manage and monitoring compliance of delivery against contracts; enforcement of claims to suppliers in case of deviations e.g. penalties
8. Support on claim management and related post-sales activities
9. Clarification of market conditions relating to inter alia local content, imports, exports, credit limits, credit protection framework
10. Monitoring and reporting of political conditions affecting the renewables industry in the EMEA region
11. Carry out and support supplier qualification based on existing processes with focus on local based suppliers / subcontractors
12. Establish and maintain long-term local supplier and subcontractor relationship
13. Create and maintain standard and / or framework agreements where needed with local suppliers / subcontractors
14. Support the development and implementation of purchasing strategy for local projects, based on EMEA and global purchasing strategy, in coordination with Head of Project Supply Chain in Germany and with focus on the local suppliers / subcontractors’ requirements
15. Work in conjunction with the JUWI HQ purchasing organization to utilize global supplier frameworks
Your energy is required
You impress us with these qualifications;
16. 5 years’ experience in international procurement and supply chain management
17. 2-year experience in the solar EPC market for photovoltaic utility scale projects in Italy.
18. In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing international contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
19. Degree in (Industrial) Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or in similar discipline
20. Skilled negotiator with ability to foster solid relationship to internal and external stakeholders
21. Highly organized and detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills
22. The job holder may be required to travel to project sites from time to time
Desirable
23. Experience as quantity surveyor, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
24. Full professional proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
25. Knowledge of German is considered an asset.
26. Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
27. Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
