Florence, Italy Metropolitan Area (Hybrid) Overview PROJECT MANAGER DOMESTIC MARKET The Project Manager is the overall responsible for the project and its results. He/She manages a project related to Signalling, Communication, Control and Ticketing Systems of a Metro, ensuring the achievement of technical, operational, economical, financial and business objectives within the defined schedule and budget, with the expected level of quality and safety. The role requires leading and managing the execution and implementation of projects in coordination with the Customer and with Company Functions. Responsibilities Manage the project to achieve targets, customer satisfaction, employer satisfaction and profitability. Ensure the project is managed correctly, delivering predefined results on time and within budget with the expected level of quality. Ensure full compliance with Safety Requirements and the Safety Plan, in close cooperation with the Safety Manager. Be accountable for project profitability, sales and costs. Plan and coordinate activities and resources, interfacing with team members and company functions to meet project objectives (milestones and contract). Manage the contractual terms of the project. Supervise and control the production/product integration of project-related systems, including the supply chain, interfacing with suppliers and engineering. Monitor progress of project activities against the planned timetable. Monthly monitor project profit and implement actions to maximize profit as needed. Supervise, coordinate and support the System Engineer and Customer Service during commissioning, maintenance and warranty, with support from the Project Design Authority at the project level. Support the preparation and validation of the project Statement of Work (baseline): confirm scope, contractual issues and risk assumptions. Establish the project structure including management and team organization; set up the project team and assign roles and responsibilities. Manage project risks, including contingency plans and risk mitigation; ensure correct application of Quality procedures. Manage variations to contractual scope of work with the Employer. Ensure adherence of resources to corporate values, Code of Ethics, and Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSE) regulations. Foster proactive risk and opportunity management; focus on customer satisfaction and company profitability. Skills, Experience And Qualifications University Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunication or Informatics) or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager in railway domestic projects. Good knowledge of English is a plus. Available for business travel. Strong leadership with the ability to work in a team and, when needed, to lead a team naturally. Ability to manage teams and resources not necessarily reporting hierarchically. Strong organizational and coordination skills for multiple remote teams. Autonomy, proactivity and a rigorous, committed mindset; self-discipline and being a good example are required. Focus on business understanding and managing business outcomes behind the project.
