Ph3Opening Positions at Akrion Technologies /h3 h3Field Service Engineer - Milan or Catania, Italy /h3 pJob Summary: This is a home-based position that reports directly to the Director of Service Manager (DSM) for Europe/Israel and involves field service maintenance activities and installation support for Akrion Technologies' (a US-based company) product lines. /p ul liPerform intermediate/advanced level and preventative maintenance. /li liTroubleshoot technical/mechanical/flow/process/software problems with minimal assistance. /li liPerform customer site‑specific activities and utilize departmental procedures to assemble, test, and troubleshoot Akrion Technologies product lines as well as appropriate OEM subsystems during tool installation, warranty, contract support, and product enhancement installation support activities. /li liAssist senior FSE’s with site inspections. /li liEstablish and maintain with the customer a high level of satisfaction with Akrion Technologies tools and support. /li liAttend all customer mandatory Environmental, Health, and Safety classes. /li liParticipate in customer data collection regarding tool performance and attend customer meetings. /li liProvide customers with updated non‑confidential literature regarding equipment. /li liMust have a complete understanding of all Standard Operating Procedures and plan daily activities with minimal supervision. /li liResponsible for providing required documentation through all phases of tool/product enhancement installation and warranty and contract support FSRs to the appropriate parties. /li liEscalate system issues appropriately by utilizing the CSR system and submitting timesheets and expense reports to the area manager weekly. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liAssociate degree in electronics or applicable education and/or a minimum of 5 years related industrial experience. /li liPreferred related work experience with a large amount of exposure to the Semiconductor Industry, Silicon Wafer Fabrication, Environmental, Health and Safety, Flow Controls, Pneumatics, Chemistry, and Computer Programming. /li liApplicable military or job experience can be considered if the experience is directly related to the tasks to be performed. /li liMust be able and willing to travel at least 75% of the time and for a duration of up to 3 weeks at a time. /li liMust be able to function under a considerable amount of stress. /li liMust be able to work effectively in a group or on an individual basis. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. QCER B2 is required (C level 1 or 2 will be considered a plus) to interact with peers, management, and customers. /li liMust show skills in utilizing basic electronic troubleshooting equipment. /li liMust show proficiency in basic computer skills, i.e., Excel, Word, DOS, Windows Operating System, and Internet e-mail. /li liMust feel confident and comfortable working around hazardous chemicals. /li liAbility to work within a confined space.
