Overview

The Account Executive is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new customers, with a primary focus on generating net new business. This role emphasizes building relationships from the ground up, developing new opportunities, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets through strategic outreach and business development efforts.

What you will be doing

* Develop a comprehensive sales plan (Go-to-market) to meet and exceed quotas, including identifying and prioritizing new logo opportunities.
* Create and communicate accurate sales forecasts in real-time.
* Proactively contact potential customers and partners regularly to develop, maintain, and expand business relationships. Collaborate with all available company resources to develop and maintain a sales pipeline.
* Streamline and improve account management and sales processes continuously.
* Partner with sales solution engineers to develop software demonstrations for customers and participate actively in these demonstrations.
* Record all customer account information in the CRM, including opportunities, commitments, meaningful conversations, customer visits, or sales calls.
* Understand market trends, customer and potential customer needs, and pursue opportunities for company expansion and integration.
* Engage company specialists and support resources as needed to advance opportunities.
* Assist in assessing the viability of RFPs and contribute to developing responses.
* Participate in trade shows and ensure customers or potential customers are involved in company marketing efforts.
* Develop closing strategies for accounts and engage internal leadership to facilitate negotiations and contracts to ensure timely deal closure.

What will make you successful

* Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience as an Account Manager in acquiring new logos.
* Knowledge of sales in relevant technology solutions or industries.
* Proficiency with opportunity management and account planning tools.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office.
* Strong ability to build rapport and trust.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and tact.
* Highly organized and capable of multitasking successfully.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to complete tasks.
* Strong collaboration skills within teams and across departments.
* Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience that enables successful job performance.
