PRINA is currently recruiting for a bConstruction Safety Engineer /b to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the bCivil Engineering /b Division. /ph3Mission /h3pThe role focuses on ensuring the safety of construction operations in the infrastructure environment, such as the construction site’s safety processes, equipment, workers, and more, in cooperation with the Principal Engineer. /ph3Key Accountabilities /h3ulliIdentify, assess and mitigate safety construction risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. /liliEnsure all construction activities comply with applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies. /liliConduct regular site inspections, identify potential hazards, develop and drive implementation of corrective actions, and prepare technical reports. /liliAssist in developing project‑specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements. /liliInvestigate accidents and near misses, report findings, and recommend preventive measures. /liliVerify safety training for construction personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders. /liliVerify or develop emergency response plans for each construction site. /liliPerform or verify risk assessments for various construction activities and propose control measures. /liliVerify proper use, maintenance, and availability of safety equipment and PPE. /liliProvide direct day‑to‑day support and oversight of project elements. /liliTeam‑work and assist engineers or engineering teams on construction sites. /liliDevelop project schedules and deliverable timelines under supervision. /liliPrepare or verify technical deliverables and progress reports. /liliEnsure all activities are executed in accordance with RINA QMS. /li /ulh3Education /h3pBachelor’s Degree in Construction and Environment or Civil Engineering. /ph3Experience /h3pProven experience in construction safety management, with a track record of identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks on construction sites. Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and conducting safety training is required. /ph3Knowledge /h3pThorough understanding of relevant safety regulations and industry standards such as OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc. Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and equipment.
