The company develops, manufactures and sells innovative products in three different areas of respiratory medicine: /p ul liVentilation: ventilators and patient interface devices (masks) for intensive care, emergency treatments, transport treatments, and home therapy. /li liAerosol therapy devices /li liDevices for the emanation of medical gases /li /ul pWe are looking for an engineer with product development and project management skills to join an RD team in a medical devices company focused on innovations. /p pYou’ll be part of a primary international company as a member of our young and dynamic engineering team and you will contribute to the design of cutting‑edge products. /p pTo be successful in this position, you should have previous experience in medium complexity product development with strong requirements in terms of user‑experience, comfort, ergonomics realized in engineering plastics crafted with injection mould technology. You need to have at least an academic background on FEA in mechanical engineering, in order to be able to run simulations anticipating design performance and identifying possible limitations. A previous proven working experience is considered a plus. /p pThe medical field is very challenging in terms of applicable standards and technical documentation to be developed and regularly updated. These activities are required and part of the daily activities. You must be able to read standards, perform tests and create test reports. Candidates with previous experience on medical devices conformity will be preferred. /p pYou’ll have the responsibility to create a project development plan: define and schedule main tasks together with different stakeholders both internal and external. You’ll also need to ensure the respect of timing. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDefinition of the product requirement together with the marketing team. /li liFeasibility study of a new product development. /li liPropose new innovative patentable ideas. /li liApply a DTC approach for new and reviewed products to reduce unit costs. /li liEnsure compliance with the company’s safety standards. /li liEnsure products are user‑friendly and environmentally friendly. /li liRun FEA to identify possible design issues, propose alternative solutions. /li liManage the relation with suppliers to realize prototypes with the most recently additive manufacturing technologies. /li liAnalyze prototypes data and test them if needed. /li liManage documentation of both new and revised 3D designs. /li liWrite detailed reports. /li liAssess the quality control on components and prepare check‑lists. /li liDevelop technical documentation according to EU regulations to grant CE certification. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liPrevious experience in RD teams developing products. /li liGood understanding of safety standards and environmental and ergonomic impact of a design. /li liAt least a basic knowledge of design of injection moulds for engineering polymers and elastomers. /li liProven knowledge of finite element analysis in mechanical engineering, knowledge of a tool among the most important. /li liAbility to report in front of management. /li liGood oral and written communication. /li liMaster degree in mechanical, biomechanical, biomedical or material engineering. /li liIntermediate English language (B2 or more). /li liDriving license. /li /ul h3Our Differences make our Performance /h3 pAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.
