Fondazione Consulenti per il lavoro, is seeking the following positions for the Italian branch of an American company that sells measurement instruments: ELECTRONICS TEST & REPAIR TECHNICIAN ITALY.
In this position, you will perform assembly, test and repair of various instruments. An electronics test &
repair technician must be able to fix complex circuitry problems found by other techs. Company's high precision/high speed analog and digital circuits are quite challenging. You must be able to use DVMs, signal generators, and oscilloscopes and understand engineering theory, units and terminology. Analog debugging skills at both the system and component level and surface mount soldering/desoldering skills are essential. You must have knowledge of op amps, A/D and D/A converters, transistor circuits, and switching power supplies. Experience should be in a production test environment – ideally with an instrumentation firm. You must communicate well with engineering, manufacturing management, and the rest of the manufacturing test staff.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and testing environment.
You will be supported by a remote team of technicians, stationed in our US headquarters.
On site in Italy, you will join a small team including administration and sales. The electronics test & repair technician, along with the onsite team, will work together to achieve goals, observe compliance standards, maintain day-to-day operations, and provide outstanding customer service. This position requires good technical English, and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to travel to the United
States for training and periodic visits is required.
Required Education and Experience
• Associate’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of computer operations, high speed analog, switching power supplies
experience
• Soldering/desoldering experience preferred
• Circuit board experience
• Scientific instrumentation experience preferred
