Production Planners develop daily or weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met. They determine material, equipment, and labor requirements, prepare status and performance reports, and resolve production issues.
Production Planner main responsibilities are:
Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production.
Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
Responsible for managing complex projects interacting with other dept involved (technical office, quality, production, sales, logistics and warehouse)
Responsible for defining stock policy for packages warehouses and manage stock levels with the aim of meeting market requests
Responsible for procurement of package-specific components
Responsible for prioritization of other made in items planning with colleagues in the same department to assure availability of goods on time
Responsible for continuous improvement in packages planning process
Good level of English (B2)
Technical High School Diploma or higher.
Previous experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
