**The purpose of this position is to**:
Analyze and plan material requirements for direct material components to support the planning and customer service manager. Coordinate the Planner Buyer team to ensure the procurement of materials to support operational needs. Monitor and lead inventory levels in line with established goals. Support the obsolescence management and fiscal destruction process. Ensure collaboration with the Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler team to adjust purchase orders about plan variations. Key activities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Master Data Planner on configuring and updating material master data in SAP (Lead Time, MOQ).
- Analyze material requirements based on the production plan and MRP analysis.
- Coordinate and supervise the Planner Buyer team to follow up with suppliers for timely order delivery, in collaboration with the plant and group procurement teams.
- Support Planner Buyers and collaborate with the Master Data Planner in system maintenance activities, priority definition, and reporting to ensure that MRP and other systems are updated and adequately control inventory levels.
**Specific tasks/primary activities**:
- Responsible for inventory levels of direct material components.
- When necessary, collaborate with cross-functional groups (QC Lab, Warehouse) to expedite the release of material needed to support the production plan.
- Analyze MRP action messages in collaboration with Planner Buyers to ensure that direct material components are available at the right time and quantity to support the production plan.
- Coordinate Planner Buyers in creating and issuing delivery schedules with the supply base through purchase orders (define dates and quantities).
- Manage and communicate changes to delivery dates from suppliers to the appropriate functions for prioritization and scheduling.
- Outline appropriate inventory strategies to manage adequate inventory levels using SAP ERP. Coordinate with Planner Buyers to monitor expired, obsolete, and rejected material to avoid impacts on operations.
- Anticipate and communicate any material shortages before the official release of the detailed production schedule.
- Periodically review and validate, in collaboration with Planner Buyers and the Master Data Planner, information on item master data such as lead times, scrap factor, batch sizes, order quantities, safety stocks, and returns to ensure data integrity for assigned materials in the SAP ERP system.
- Periodically update procedures related to the production and materials planning process.
- Support the planning manager in any other special activities and analyses as required.
- Challenge processes to improve the cost-effectiveness of the material flow to production areas.

**Requirements and qualifications**:

**Education/degrees/training**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
**Knowledge and computer technical skills**:
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficiency in using computer software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- MRP/ERP system (SAP)

**Professional experiences**:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Materials or Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler in the Pharmaceutical Industry
