The opportunity
Every morning you wake up and the first thing you do is check what’s new in the AI world. Not out of anxiety — out of genuine curiosity. You already know that a model released yesterday can change how a company runs its processes tomorrow.
We’re looking for you. We want to build a concrete, sellable, differentiated AI offering. Not slides full of buzzwords, but real solutions: agents that automate workflows, RAG systems on enterprise knowledge bases, AI governance pipelines, multimodal architectures. You have the vision to imagine them and the technical depth to specify them — and you know how to use AI itself to build them faster than anyone else.
This is a cross-functional role: you’ll work with the leadership team to design the offering, with clients to identify where AI can make a real difference, and with technical teams to turn ideas into reality. It’s not a sales role, and it’s not a purely technical one. It’s the role for someone who wants to build the future of a data company in the age of AI.
What You\'ll Do
Design Agile Lab’s AI offering Define the AI solutions we can bring to market: use cases, reference architectures, business value, indicative effort. Your goal is a solution catalogue that a business developer can walk into a client meeting with tomorrow morning.
Champion spec-driven development Produce high-quality technical specifications — PRDs, agentic architectures, automation flows — that our engineering teams can pick up and execute. You use AI to write, iterate, and prototype. You’re not afraid to open an editor and get your hands dirty.
Lead AI assessments with clients When a company says \"we want to do AI\", you’re the one who walks in, understands their processes, identifies the real opportunities, and produces a concrete roadmap. Not generic consulting: practical assessments, with clear priorities and quick wins.
Keep Agile Lab one step ahead You monitor the AI market systematically. Every week you know what’s changed — new models, new frameworks, competitor moves — and translate it all into implications for our business.
Bring AI inside Agile Lab Not just externally — internally too. You propose and implement AI workflows for our own processes: delivery, proposal writing, knowledge management. You are the internal reference point for how Agile Lab uses AI in daily work.
Requirements
Must-haves:
* Deep knowledge of the AI landscape: LLMs, agents, RAG, automation tools, orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar)
* Experience with spec-driven development: you can write a PRD or reference architecture that a team can execute without ambiguity
* Experience in offering definition, service positioning, or solution development
* Solid understanding of the Artificial Intelligence landscape, including AI solutions, use cases, and market dynamics
* Ability to translate business needs into concrete AI solutions — and vice versa
* Communication skills with C-level stakeholders: you don’t explain the technology, you explain the value
* Builder mindset: you prefer a working prototype over a perfect presentation
* Fluent in Italian and English
Strong plus:
* Experience with data architectures (lakehouse, data mesh) — our natural home turf
* Familiarity with enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI services
* Prior experience building and/or selling an AI offering in a consulting or product context
* Public contributions — blog posts, papers, GitHub, talks — that show your obsession with the field
Who You Are
You wake up in the morning and check what’s new in AI — not because you have to, but because you can’t help it. You have strong opinions about what works and what’s hype. You know when an agent makes sense and when it’s overengineered. You get bored by generic slides and come alive when faced with a real problem to solve. You want to leave a mark — not inside a large corporation, but in a company that moves fast and genuinely gives you a blank canvas.
