Backend Software Engineer (Go/AWS) — Circular Economy (EU-Remote/Milan) We are working for a client that is building an AI-powered, product-centric platform turning pre-owned goods into currency and connecting retailers, consumers, and professional buyers across Europe. You’ll help design and ship event-driven backend services that make re-commerce instant, trustworthy, and scalable. What you’ll do Design, build, and operate event-driven backend services and APIs. Translate business needs into simple, reliable product features. Lead decisions on architecture, observability, testing, and scalability. Collaborate with Product & Design to deliver measurable outcomes. Improve developer experience (CI/CD, IaC, tooling) to ship faster. Tech stack Architecture: Event-driven (AWS EventBridge), serverless. Backend: AWS Lambda (Go). IaC: AWS CDK. Frontend: TypeScript, React. Practices: Automated testing, trunk-based development, metrics/tracing. What you’ll bring 3–7+ years building production backends (Go a plus; any typed language welcome). Experience in small/early teams owning features end-to-end. Comfort with Docker, cloud primitives, and production deployments. Product mindset: measure impact, simplify, and ship.
