The Role of Maintenance Technician ️
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in the operation of the machine park. There are production lines consisting of many machines, conveyors, and sorters each. As you can imagine, each of these require constant maintenance to keep production as smooth as possible 24/7.
Tasks will include:
Working on machinery related to industrial automation such as conveyors, pressing machines, punching machines, painting machines, palletizing machines, and many others;
Maintenance of mechanical parts such as bearings, hinges, gears, gearboxes, rollers, and many others;
Working together with the maintenance team to minimalize down times in the factory;
Reflecting on your productivity and suggesting improvements as a team;
Developing yourself alongside Hessing with trainings, courses, and on-the-job learning.
The culture in the maintenance team is one of equal input. This means your opinion is valued because you are on the frontline. After a period of familiarizing yourself with the company, job, and people you will also be involved in optimizing of the machine park and the process of maintaining it.
Your Skills ✅
To do well in this position and develop yourself further you will need at least:
1+ years of mechanical maintenance experience with a technical degree OR 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience without a technical degree;
A specialty in mechanical work and willingness to learn and develop yourself;
A level of English that is good enough to communicate with colleagues about the work.
It is a nice bonus if you also:
Have experience working in the packaging industry, textile industry, food & beverage industry, or any industry relying on industrial automisation and optimized production times;
Have safety certificates;
Have Lean Six Sigma or similar certificates.

Benefits and Conditions
You can count on:
Total gross monthly pay of €4.150 - €5.850;
Base salary of between €3.000 - €3.800;
Shift allowance of 28,5%, based on base salary;
Holiday allowance of 8,33%, based on base salary.
The conditions for this specific role are as follows:
Five shifts, consisting of 2 mornings (8:00 – 16:00), 2 afternoons (16:00 – 00:00), 2 nights (00:00 – 8:00), and 4 days off;
25 holidays yearly, excluding National Holidays;
Broad and exstensive development opportunities.
