TXT e-Tech, part of TXT group, is looking for a Firmware Software Engineer & Tester to join its Aerospace & Defence Business Unit.
Previous experience in the avionics sector is not required: we are looking for curiosity, strong technical foundations, and a desire to grow.
Main responsibilities:
1. Unit, integration, and verification testing in both simulated environments and on real hardware;
2. Writing and analyzing software requirements for avionics systems;
3. Integration with avionics communication protocols (ARINC429, AFDX, CAN bus, etc.);
4. Architectural design of embedded and firmware solutions;
5. Development of low-level drivers and firmware for onboard computers using low-level programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Ada95);
6. Participation in hardware testing and avionics certification campaigns.
Technical skills required:
1. Embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, Arduino, Nucleo boards);
2. Programming in C, C++, or Ada95;
3. University projects involving sensors, communication protocols, software testing, or PCB design.
The following will be considered a plus:
1. Experience with real-time or safety-critical systems;
2. Bare-metal or RTOS-based development and testing;
3. Knowledge of communication systems (TCP/IP, UDP, FTP);
4. Experience with file systems, custom boards, or validation tools;
5. Basic knowledge of avionics standards and protocols: DO-178C, ARINC 429/664, Mil-1553, CAN bus.
The ideal candidate is proactive, with a good command of the English language. Has a strong team-oriented mindset, attention to detail when following project specifications and is goal-oriented whilst respecting deadlines.
Education: Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in a STEM field.
