We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Financial Accountant to manage the full scope of accounting activities for our Italian entities, including service companies and project-specific SPVs. This role will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations (such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries), monthly and quarterly reporting, and full tax compliance — including WHT, VAT, and F24 submissions. You will work closely with local advisors to ensure full compliance with Italian tax and financial regulations, while also supporting the transition to our group ERP system (Priority). This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with strong knowledge of Italian accounting and tax requirements to join a dynamic, mission-driven company in the renewable energy sector. Responsibilities Maintain accurate general ledger entries. Manage intercompany reconciliations. Ensure timely financial close and reporting. Support external reporting and audit requirements. Oversee quarterly and annual VAT filings and coordinate with tax consultants for property tax (IMU) and other statutory obligations. Support the transition to the group ERP system (Priority). Qualifications Qualified accountant with at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role Experience working in a multi-company, multi-currency group environment with significant intercompany transactions Strong understanding of accounting, OIC / IFRS and double entry Extensive experience working in an international environment, including nominal and subledger review, postings, and currency management Experience working with Italian tax and local requirements Experience working in the renewable development industry is desirable but not essential Econergy is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
