PpJoin to apply for the bNyx Earth Senior System Engineer /b role at bThe Exploration Company /b /p pHere at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. /p pThe core of this role is the coordination of all subsystems or functional chains to guarantee that all functional, numerical, electrical and physical interfaces are accurate and properly managed. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liEnsure a consistent spacecraft design by coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams to define and control system and subsystems interfaces, ensuring that all design aspects meet functional, electrical, numerical and physical compatibility. /li liAct as the systems integration point of contact for interface compatibility, risk identification relating to system coherence, and mitigation strategies, particularly during design and subsystem integration phases. /li liCoordinate the activities of the functional chain responsibilities (functional chains refer to interconnected systems or subsystems within a spacecraft, each responsible for specific functions critical to mission objectives over the complete lifetime of the spacecraft). /li liOversee the creation and management of interface control documents (ICDs) and interface requirements, collaborating verification and validation engineers responsible for executing system test campaigns and compliance checks. /li liMaintain and ensure compliance with the spacecraft performance parameters. /li liMaintain and improve the interface management process supported by our in-house developed MBSE tool. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, or another related field. /li li10+ years of experience in systems design, analysis, and testing of aerospace or space-related systems, with a focus on functional simulation testing (HIL testing). /li liSpacecraft systems knowledge. /li liSystem mindset with a proven capability of understanding and managing complex systems. /li liExperience in development projects throughout the complete life cycle. /li liExperience in the development of control algorithms and state machines. /li liHands-on hardware experience. /li liExperience in the development and verification of space hardware. /li /ul h3Skills Behaviours /h3 ul liStrong oral and written communication skills /li liStrong analysis and problem-solving skills /li liStrong organizing and prioritization of tasks /li liA hands-on, positive and flexible attitude to get the job done /li liAbility to communicate at all levels of the business /li liDemonstrates behaviours consistent with The Exploration Company’s core values of Mission, Vision, Integrity, Excellence and Teamwork /li liSpace enthusiast: ready to change the European space industry /li /ul h3Why you should join us /h3 ul liWe’re Agile - we make decisions fast whilst keeping our goals and systems in mind /li liWe’re Open and Collaborative - we are transparent about risks and obstacles, so that we can cooperate to overcome them /li liWe have a lot of Fun - we refuel our energy knowing we are democratising space.
