Ph3Automation Technician (L3), Reliability Maintenance Engineering /h3 pThe Automation Technician plays a key role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and efficiency of automated systems within our IST2 Fulfillment Center. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of automation and control systems, including PLCs, sensors, conveyors, and machineries. The technician will work closely with engineers and other RME teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and minimize downtime. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform troubleshooting and diagnostics on automation systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMI, sensors, etc.) /li liSupport preventive and corrective maintenance on control panels, automation components, and field instrumentation. /li liCollaborate with engineers and other teams to implement process improvements and automation upgrades. /li liAssist in root cause analysis for automation-related failures and develop corrective action plans. /li liDocument all work performed in the CMMS system, including parts used and time spent. /li liParticipate in commissioning and start-up of new automation projects and equipment. /li liEnsure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and standards. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liTechnical Diploma in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related field. /li liMinimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with industrial automation systems. /li liSolid understanding of PLCs (Siemens, or similar), sensors, and motor controls. /li liAbility to read and interpret electrical and automation schematics. /li liProficient in using diagnostic tools and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP). /li liWillingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in high-volume manufacturing, logistics, or energy facilities. /li liHands‑on experience with PLC systems. /li liKnowledge of safety systems (e.g., E‑stop circuits, safety relays, SIL‑rated devices). /li liFamiliarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). /li liStrong problem‑solving and analytical skills. /li liAbility to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team. /li /ul pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
