About the Role:
We are looking for our new Food Safety & Quality Packaging Area Europe Coordinator, who will report professionally to the Group Food Safety & Quality Packaging Manager and managerially to Area Food Safety & Quality Europe Manager.
As our point of reference for internal stakeholders, you will be at the forefront of planning regional activities, collecting priorities, and ensuring alignment with both central and local requirements. In this role, you will support non-conformities management and lead Food Safety & Quality improvement plans, driving business continuity activities. You will also coordinate M&A and 3PO related activities, deploying the Materials Food Safety & Quality global training program, with a particular focus on the auditors’ population within your perimeter.
Main Responsibilities:
By covering this position you will guide the Food Safety & Quality Packaging Managers and Packaging Matter Experts by defining priorities, providing operational guidelines, and harmonizing working methods across regions in line with the Group. Regular visits to the regions will be essential to strengthen local Food Safety & Quality performances.
You will design and organize local governance to engage internal stakeholders effectively, ensuring the implementation of Food Safety & Quality requirements that merge central and local needs.
Ensuring the execution of the Audit Plan at the local level and monitoring suppliers through identified KPIs will be crucial. You will ensure the rollout and acceptance of supplier Food Safety and Quality documentation, identify unresolved issues, and coordinate action plans with both internal and external stakeholders.
The role also considers the management of the Packaging Material Subject Matter Experts (SME) that will imply the critical non-conformity management and the definition of the material standards in collaboration with the product development/innovation.
In terms of M&A and 3PO related activities, you will support integration activities at both local and central levels concerning Packaging Food Safety & Quality.
Managing non-conformities will involve collaborating with internal functions to apply preventive/corrective actions and supporting the definition of action plans and corrective measures concerning suppliers. Identifying local criticalities on materials compliance and escalating them appropriately at the group level will be part of your duties.
Finally, you will ensure the coaching and training of employees on Food Safety & Quality standards, Audits and Packaging material characteristics.
About You:
You will bring your Master’s degree background in Food Sciences, or other related Packaging fields and at least 10 years in leadership roles in Food Safety & Quality within a multinational environment.
You have a very good knowledge of food safety and quality standards, certifications schemes and food regulatory. Prior experience in Packaging materials category will be useful, together with risk analysis, principles of statistical sampling, pest control, GFSI and ISO Certification Scheme, allergen management, Food Contact Material legislation. Being an English-fluent, excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills, you will conduct and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and you are comfortable interacting with different hierarchical levels. Strong leadership, team management, cross-functional collaboration, decision-making are essential to be successful in the role.
