Field Service Engineer – Wärtsilä
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to become a key player in Wärtsilä Shaft Line Solutions (SLS).

Overview
Permanent position, preferred locations Spain, Italy, Portugal.
Travel worldwide (˜80%) and occasional overtime.
Responsibilities
Execute field service activities according to work plans
Perform overhauls and repairs on-site or in workshops
Engage professionally with customers throughout service delivery
Provide internal and external updates on job progress
Create detailed Service Work Reports
Ensure all work complies with Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures
Report on work order status to customers and internal teams
Continuously seek smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions
Qualifications
Safety-first mindset and collaborative spirit
A degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering—or equivalent maritime experience
Hands-on technical experience in marine engineering and problem-solving
Proven expertise in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair
Strong communication skills—written and verbal
Experience with propulsion shaft alignment and Stern Tube Bearings is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Fluency in English; additional languages are a premio
Willingness to travel extensively
