Brief Description of the roleThe Control Software Developer will contribute to the development of Atlante's Energy Management System (EMS),a distributed software platform that regulates energy flows within EV charging stations equipped with storageand photovoltaic systems.This is a junior hands-on software development role with a strong focus on DevOps practices, cloud-nativearchitectures, and scalable microservices. You will work extensively with Python, integrating cloud and edgemicroservices, and collaborating with international teams to ensure robust and scalable EMS solutions.
Value creationThis role supports Atlante's digital transformation and operational excellence by developing intelligent controland optimization routines that enable efficient energy management across multiple geographies. Through softwaredevelopment, DevOps practices, and system integration, the Control Software Developer enhances the performance,scalability and reliability of Atlante's energy infrastructure.
Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Python-based EMS microservices for cloud and edge environmentsBuild and manage CI/CD pipelines for deployment automationMonitor and troubleshoot distributed systems in productionWork with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)Manage and process large datasets; integrate with SQL/NoSQL databasesCollaborate with cross-functional and cross-country teams (e.g. engineering, operations, digital)Contribute to system architecture and automation strategiesCreate documentation and technical reports
RequirementsMaster's degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer SciencePrevious work or internship experience in a technical or software-related roleSoftware development skills (preferably in modern programming languages and frameworks)Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g. CI/CD, Docker, monitoring)Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and architecturesFluent in English and Italian, comfortable working in a multicultural environmentIndependent, proactive, and eager to learn new domains and technologies
