Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, it is present in more than 50 countries around the world and employs about 30,000 people of over 130 nationalities. /p pWe are currently looking for a bWelding Engineer /b to join one of our projects onshore. /p pKindly see below the job description for this position: /p h3Mission: /h3 ul liFollow welding through all its aspects from bid phase when welding philosophy has to be set to Project completions, looking at solutions of high quality level and high productivity, according to Project Schedule, monitoring and supporting Production Phase. /li liPromote and support new welding solutions, techniques and consumables to achieve the most competitive and strategic results /li /ul h3Tasks: /h3 pExecute activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements. /p h3Tasks include: /h3 ul liAssist and support the Welding Coordinator and/or project teams on all welding matters /li liPrepare and issue preliminary Welding Documents for assigned project or bids /li liReview clients specifications and scopes of work, examine pipe metallurgy and prepare detailed Welding procedures to achieve maximum productivity in accordance with required quality levels /li liCoordinate and schedule personnel and systems for the qualification of welding procedures and welders /li liReview subcontractors tender documents and technical qualifications /li liAssist QHSE Department on subcontractor assessments/audits /li liReview and approve subcontractors Welding submissions /li liEnsure that Welding traceability info are recorded, maintained and available in the required format for all Welding activities to demonstrate achievement of client requirements /li liReview journals and technical papers for new welding technology. Maintain contact with welding equipment suppliers and consumable vendors to promote advances in welding technology /li /ul h3Moreover, the Offshore Welding Engineer shall: /h3 ul liMaintain updated departmental project Welding files and database so that information is readily available to other department members /li liLiaise with the barge personnel, particulary welding supervisors and operative welding figures, and assistan optimising work methods and trouble shooting where and when required /li liMonitor laybarge progress to identify opportunities for improvement /li /ul h3Moreover, the Welding Production Engineer shall: /h3 ul liContract Technical review to verify Project Technical requirements for Welding Activities /li liPropose the Base material Purchase strategy for a fabrication Project /li liPrepare and issue Welding Documents (Welding Books, WPSs, WPQR, PTW report, Procedures, etc.) /li liEvaluate and estimate type and quantity of welding consumables /li liPrepare Purchase Requests for Welding Consmable /li liMonitor Consumables consumes along the project, evaluating additional Consumable Purchase, if required /li liMonitor the Welding Quality trough the analisys of the trends of Project Defect Rates and Welders defect rates prepared by QHSE Dept., proposing improvement actions. /li /ul h3What are we looking for? /h3 pLanguages: English Language skills required (and any other specified by Project) /p h3What we can offer to you: /h3 p12 months contract (renewable).
