We are looking for a Project Contract Administrator to join our Business Unit Transmission, which provides state-of-the-art solutions for High Voltage Underground and Submarine cable links in some of the world's most challenging environments.
The Contract Manager will support the organization and project team in managing all contractual aspects with customers, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Managing the contracts lifecycle during project execution and warranty phases, including review and drafting amendments, contractual documents, and renewal of contracts.
Providing guidance and interpretation of contractual clauses and requirements.
Supporting change management, drafting and reviewing change orders, claims, back charges and penalties, and defending incoming claims against customers, subcontractors and key vendors.
Safeguarding contractual obligations by tracking and issuing notifications, monitoring milestones, and coordinating with the project team.
Promoting awareness of contract provisions, preparing initial contract reviews, organising induction meetings, and issuing reports, interpretations and assessments.
Liaising with corporate functions such as finance, legal, compliance and IP on specific matters and potential disputes.
Monitoring, drafting and reviewing all contractual correspondence between Prysmian and its customers, joint venture partners, consortium partners and subcontractors/vendors.
Ensuring all required insurances and guarantees are in place and maintained in conjunction with dedicated departments.
Assisting purchasing in negotiating contracts with subcontractors and vendors and implementing back-to-back subcontracts.
Contributing to project close-out activities with clients, partners, subcontractors and major vendors, ensuring all required certificates are issued or received.
The activities described here are not exhaustive; the role may involve additional responsibilities as assigned, considering workload and business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum requirements
Law Degree
Knowledge of EPC contracts
Knowledge of cable or energy industry preferred
Willingness to travel
Minimum Experience
Minimum 2 years PQE as a Contract Manager or Portfolio Contract Manager.
Proven experience in contract preparation, negotiation, and amendments.
Background in creating and negotiating international subcontracts with back-to-back implementation.
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in technical environments.
