Inbound department manager

MISSION

For a new logistics site of an important international company operating in the Retail sector, we are looking for a Department Manager Inbound who will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and effective management of inbound operations within the Distribution Center.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Reporting directly to the Operation Manager, the candidate will lead the Inbound Operations team, ensuring the achievement of performance, quality, service, and cost targets, while maintaining compliance with company standards and operational procedures. He/she will be involved in:

• coordinate and oversee all Inbound operations, ensuring an efficient flow of goods into the Distribution Center;
• ensure the accurate receipt, handling, and storage of products in line with company standards;
• collaborate closely with other departments to optimize operational processes and overall performance;
• plan and allocate resources to ensure productivity, efficiency, and service level targets are achieved;
• monitor operational KPIs, departmental costs, and budgets, driving continuous improvement initiatives;
• manage relationships with suppliers and temporary staffing agencies according to operational needs;
• ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and health & safety regulations;
• promote effective communication between management and operational teams;
• lead, motivate, and develop Team Leaders and operational staff, supporting their professional growth;
• foster a positive work environment focused on collaboration, performance, and company values.

SKILLS

• Degree or Diploma, preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
• proven experience in managing warehouse operations or Distribution Centers;
• previous experience of at least 3-7 years in leading and developing operational teams;
• strong knowledge of inbound logistics processes and warehouse management operations;
• experience in KPI monitoring, performance analysis, and budget management;
• good knowledge of IT tools and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS);
• good command of the English language (B1/B2)

Location: province of Rovigo

Compensation package and employment terms will be aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Expected RAL: € 30.000-45.000
