DRIVE YOUR FUTURE
The candidate will join the Manufacturing Engineering team at Pirelli headquarters. He/She will be involved as a Senior Project Engineer in managing projects of automatic handling systems to be installed in Pirelli factories worldwide. The simulation and design of such systems are carried out in collaboration with OEMs and partners. Depending on the project complexity, he/she may act as a project member or project leader.
YOUR CORE ACTIVITIES
* Identify process paths to automate, considering factors such as labor, cost, safety, and performance.
* Evaluate technological options with OEMs and select appropriate solutions for both brownfield and greenfield applications.
* Design handling systems integrated with other systems and platforms (MES, WMS, WCS, OT devices, etc.) in collaboration with sector experts and the Pirelli IT department.
* Deliver specifications for automatic handling systems and relevant interfaces for Pirelli factories worldwide.
* Define project timelines and oversee design, procurement, commissioning, testing, and validation phases.
* Provide technical support and coordinate project teams during installation, commissioning, start-up, and lifecycle phases across global factories.
* Verify, approve, and archive machinery documentation in compliance with internal procedures and quality standards.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Master's Degree in Mechatronics, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering.
* At least 3 years of experience in automatic handling systems engineering or technical project management.
* Basic knowledge of CAD tools and Machinery Directive; project management fundamentals.
* Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and industrial protocols is a plus.
* Experience with flow simulation software (Witness or similar) and basic SQL/Python knowledge is advantageous.
* Flexibility to travel internationally and domestically.
* Fluency in English.
