Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars. /p h3PURPOSE OF THE JOB /h3 pAnalyses operational needs (like operational deployment, journeys, performances) for the complete life cycle of the rolling stock (for instance manufacturing, commercial service, maintenance, decommissioning). /p pDefines in agreement with the rolling stock’s operability context (like environmental conditions, infrastructure, users), the operability, usability, maintainability of the Rolling Stock to develop, to ensure safe and reliable operation of the rolling stock according to operational needs. /p h3MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 pIdentify operability context of the rolling stock to be developed and perform the analysis of the rolling stock’s source requirements (like customer requirements, norms, laws) regarding operation within operability context. /p pIdentify gaps in the above analysis and manage these gaps together with project team in tender and in contract execution phase with the aim to define the operational use cases and the human interfaces for all involved users (like driver’s desk, picture model, tooling). /p pThe next step then consists of verifying the operability analysis process outcomes with all necessary verification means, including modelling and simulation means. /p pThe Operability Engineer shall also assist the System Engineers in allocating derived requirements to subsystems, and give support on operability related questions by preparing local trainings when appropriate. /p pFinally the Operability Engineer exchanges with operability related community to grow operability knowledge, either his own or from colleagues. /p h3MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES /h3 ul liMaster of Engineering from University with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering. /li liWorking experience in system engineering on large scale projects at various stages in project lifecycle and within railway operator(s)/maintainer(s)/manufacturer(s). /li liExperience on different product types (regional trains, main lines). /li liAwareness of different railway operability aspects, for instance: /li ul liOperational environment like environmental conditions (climatic, EMC…), infrastructure (stations, power supplies, tunnels…), users (staff, passengers…), operability procedures (maintenance/driving rules…) /li liOperational needs and missions (life cycle, journeys, performances) /li liOperability procedures (maintenance/driving rules…) /li /ul liAbility for analysis and understanding of complex systems engineering cases (existing/future operability cases) /li liTechnical writing, requirement elicitation and formalization, ability collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and to communicate with external stakeholders. /li liGood communication skills in English /li /ul pYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
