In September of 2024, SKF announced the separation of its Automotive business, with the objective of building two world‑leading businesses. The role you are applying for will be part of the automotive business, giving you the opportunity to shape a new company aimed at meeting the needs of the transforming global automotive market.
About the Role
This is your opportunity to manage the full lifecycle of Security Services closely connected to infrastructure platforms. You will deliver standardized, end‑to‑end solutions that are reliable, secure, and user‑friendly, directly contributing to the overall Automotive Security ecosystem and enabling the business to operate safely.
In this role you will develop and manage services in areas such as secure access (remote, private, internet), external/cloud firewalls, and certificates. You will collaborate closely with the Automotive IT Security team, applying their directives and guidelines in your daily work, and you will gain experience in managing supplier contracts, service execution, and financial control. Together with the Infrastructure platform service owners, Security team and Architects, you will continuously improve standards while optimizing operational stability and cost.
Key Responsibilities
Enhance availability, reliability, security, and performance of the service, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.
Act as contract owner and manage supplier relationships, follow up on service levels, root cause analysis, and supplier performance to safeguard business operational stability.
Develop and execute the service roadmap to reach business and service goals with continuous improvements and cost efficiency.
Control the budget and forecast, delivering within given guidelines.
Collaborate closely with the Automotive Security team, Infrastructure Platform Service owners, Information Security team, and Infrastructure Architects, and engage the user community and key stakeholders for input and development.
Apply solid technical knowledge of infrastructure services such as hosting, cloud, and network, with a focus on secure access, firewalls, and certificate processes in a Zero‑Trust environment.
Collaborate with the Security team to ensure services are secure and compliant, protecting the organization from potential threats.
Qualifications
Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Network Engineering.
Experience in infrastructure (Cloud and Network) with a security focus, preferably in a global outsourced environment. Familiarity with tools such as Zscaler, Aviatrix, AlgoSec, Palo Alto, Sectigo.
Effective communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to balance technical nuances with non‑technical language.
Ability to work collaboratively in a rapidly changing, fast‑paced environment.
Enjoy working in a global environment, engaging with diverse nationalities and cultures.
Structured, coherent mindset with strong adherence to standards, supplier delivery, and cost control.
Additional Information
Preferred location for this position is any SKF Automotive site in Europe or India. Employment will be on a local contract.
You will report to Katarina Kymmer, Infrastructure Platform Services Manager. Katarina’s location is Gothenburg, Sweden.
