Overview
In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), delivering deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients worldwide. Our centers provide locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology. IBM Consulting emphasizes long-term relationships and collaboration with clients globally, helping organizations accelerate their hybrid cloud and AI journeys with support from our partner ecosystem and IBM technology platforms, including Software and Red Hat. Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with team members, both business and technical, to understand data-driven challenges and opportunities.
- Maintain a strong focus on learning, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Support the analysis and resolution of data inconsistencies and model performance issues.
- Assist in developing and experimenting with machine learning models and analytical solutions to improve insights and decision-making.
- Contribute to data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis to enhance model performance.
- Help document technical requirements and support the development of data-driven solutions.
Qualifications
- Required education: Bachelor\'s Degree. Preferred education: Bachelor\'s Degree.
- Minimum 2 years working as a data scientist with demonstrated involvement in AI-related projects.
- Academic background in data science, statistics, computer science, or related field.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and statistical modeling techniques through coursework or academic projects.
- Eagerness to learn and support technical teams in identifying and resolving data-related challenges.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and database principles.
- Basic programming skills in SQL, Python, R or equivalent language for data analysis and model development.
- Interest in obtaining relevant certifications in data science, machine learning, or cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Preferred experience
- Agile mindset—willingness to learn, adapt to changing priorities, take initiative, and apply critical thinking.
- One of the following: basic understanding of data governance principles, exposure to data visualization and storytelling, familiarity with cloud-based ML concepts and model deployment basics, or foundational knowledge of statistical analysis and ML algorithms.
Travel
Availability to travel is required.
