Job Overview We seek an enthusiastic and skilled Principal System Architect to define the end-to-end architecture of our next-generation LEO satellite communications system. You will work closely with engineers, architects, product and business managers, and external suppliers, leading system component development, writing technical requirements, conducting trade studies, defining operations, and maintaining the technical baseline and interface definitions. Collaboration with the program and test teams is essential to ensure the system is developed and fit for purpose. Who You Are : You’re a system engineer who has architected and followed the deployment of at least one large multi-user, bi-directional wireless communications system, not necessarily satellite-based. You’ve worked with or for communication system component suppliers, leading design reviews from either the supplier or customer side. You have a deep understanding of system development, integration, verification, and validation processes. You possess 10-15 years of industry experience. What You’ll Do : Define the functional composition of the entire communications system, including subsystem roles. Establish and track processes for architectural decisions and changes. Manage system requirements and coordinate with subsystem leads to ensure alignment. Maintain the technical baseline and lead IPT initiatives. Define CONOPS to clarify system functional flows. Maintain subsystem interface documentation and schemas. Ensure subsystem designs meet system needs through collaboration with suppliers. What You’ll Need : In addition to systems engineering experience, you should have deep expertise in at least one of the following areas: 3GPP (5G) end-to-end system architecture Radio Access Network design, customization, deployment Satellite User Terminal design and architecture You should also have experience with systems engineering software tools for requirements management and model-based systems engineering.
