Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in safeguarding our company’s digital assets by managing and improving our security systems. The Security Engineer will be responsible for a variety of technical and administrative tasks to ensure our IT infrastructure remains secure against potential threats.
Primary responsibilities (not limited to)
1. Security Policy and Documentation: Develop and write comprehensive security policies and documentation for company-wide distribution.
2. Security Training Program: Administer and enhance the company-wide information security-training program to ensure staff awareness and compliance.
3. Vendor Security Onboarding: Lead the security assessment and onboarding of new IT vendors to ensure compliance with our security standards.
4. Firewall Administration: Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls with a focus on Check Point and Palo Alto Networks systems.
5. VPN Management: Set up, administer, and troubleshoot VPNs, including Cisco, Check Point, and Pulse Secure technologies.
6. Scripting: Utilize scripting languages such as BASH, Ruby, Perl, and Python to automate security tasks and processes.
7. Privileged Identity Management: Manage sensitive access controls and identities using CyberArk.
8. Penetration Testing: Assist with conducting penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities within our network.
Requirements
9. Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in at least one scripting language to support automation and configuration.
10. Security Fundamentals: Solid understanding of security concepts across UNIX or Windows platforms.
11. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
12. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or related credentials strongly preferred.
13. At least 3-6 years of experience in a security-engineering role or a related field.
Hours: 40 hours/week - Monday to Friday.
