As a Testing & Commissioning Serial Test Manager, you will be in charge of coordinating the Testing & Commissioning Serial Test department. Reports directly to the Site Testing & Commissioning Director. Direct reports: Serial Test EPU (Elementary Production Unit) Manager and Train Manager. Purpose of the Job: Systematic & efficient handover of trains from manufacturing to testing. Manage the testing teams on site. Deliver trains and documents in accordance with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments and customer requirements. Main Responsibilities: Performance measurement: CONQ (Cost of Non-Quality) (internal & external) Customer acceptance before commissioning EHS (Environment, Health & Safety): Zero fatality and severe injuries Productivity Responsibilities: Participate in defining clear and exhaustive train acceptance criteria at the time of handover from manufacturing. Ensure that EPU managers and their teams understand the acceptance criteria. Ensure deployment of correct and efficient handover procedures by EPU managers & test technicians. Involve all relevant actors such as Industrial Quality, PIM, PrTCM (Project T&C Manager), PrQSM to guide decisions. Participate & support in handing over critical trains/projects (typically first and last train). Handle escalations when necessary. Maintain an overview of test planning for all projects to ensure alignment with site capacity and escalate as needed. Organize weekly reviews with EPU managers on testing KPIs (QCD) and address critical issues. Monitor and update management & key interfaces on project KPIs to reach QCD targets. Follow up on open points and improvement actions based on KPI reviews with testing, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Ensure effective interface and working relationships with PrTCM, Chief Operation, TVE, PIM, Industrial Quality, Production Line Manager, PrWM, PrQSM to achieve testing KPIs. Provide testing teams with appropriate procedures, tools, and facilities. Ensure test reports are clearly documented, up-to-date, and submitted on time. Ensure trains are fully tested and complete before delivery; address deviations such as missing parts. Manage and forecast testing workload and adapt capacity accordingly. Manage competencies through identifying critical skills and delivering necessary training. Communicate and cascade information to testing teams. Manage conflicts within the department. Ensure T&C activities and operations comply with site EHS requirements, including TTO. Report deviations, near misses, and accidents. Demonstrate excellent EHS behavior. Be accountable for EHS compliance within the test area. Main Required Competences: Good understanding of key electrical and/or mechanical processes (earthing & bonding, cabling, protection, instrumentation). Strong leadership and result-driven mindset. Ability to foster communication among multiple stakeholders (product engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial functions). Negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex environments. Ability to work across sites/functions in a multicultural environment. Team spirit and good communication skills. Mandatory Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in testing & commissioning of electrical control onboard communication & network systems within process industries, railways, or factory automation.
