Overview MEMS are key components in ST product portfolio which support a wide range of consolidated and emerging applications. Within them, infrared sensors are one of the most recent and innovative products on the market, posing new design and industrialization challenges. As a MEMS infrared sensor design engineer, the following tasks are expected: definition of specifications matching ST technology and manufacturing capabilities driving and cooperating with other development teams like manufacturing technology R&D, electronics design, characterization, reliability and/or suppliers analytical and/or numerical modelization of the physical systems describing the transducer mechanical and multiphysical simulations of components by Finite Element commercial software like ANSYS and Comsol Multiphysics or by custom-made tools definition and finalization of design solutions to reach required performances from feasibility to complete product qualification and volume production verification of the adherence of the design targets to the real performance by critical analysis of experimental results (supporting testing teams or measuring directly, if needed) Your Skills & Experiences The ideal candidate should have: a Master degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, Physical, Mathematical, Civil, Material Science) or Physics 3 years experience in MEMS design and/or mechanical, optical or thermal sensors/systems. Previous experience in infrared sensors design or development for presence detection or temperature sensing is highly appreciated. Good knowledge of physics, in particular mechanics, thermodynamics, optics and electronics. Good knowledge of spoken and written English Curiosity and willingness to learn Attitude to team working and problem solving Proactive and flexible approach to work Previous experience with softwares like Ansys, Comsol, Zemax, MATLAB is welcome but not mandatory.
