Orient Express has entrusted the interior architecture and artistic direction of the hotel Hugo Toro. The former Palazzo Fonseca is a sumptuous 17th-century palace with a huge, majestic façade. A place of memory still adorned with its Roman columns, sculptures by Rinaldo Rinaldi, a disciple of Canova, and the fascinating goddess Minerva. At the end of 2024, a new décor and interior inspired by the Roman domus and the riches of the "Eternal City" will be revealed with a new touch of contemporary elegance.
Job Description
Position Overview:
Our Housekeeping Porters play a crucial role in maintaining the impeccable standards of cleanliness and presentation expected at our 5-star luxury hotel. They support the housekeeping team by ensuring public areas, back-of-house spaces, and guest room corridors are spotless and orderly, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Main Activities:
1. Assisting the housekeeping team with the timely delivery and collection of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities according to hotel standards.
2. Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in all public areas including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and service areas, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment.
3. Assisting in the removal and proper disposal of waste and soiled linens in compliance with health and safety regulations.
4. Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Maintenance team.
5. Supporting the set-up of guest room supplies and ensuring carts and storage areas are organized and fully stocked.
6. Assisting with the smooth and efficient turnover of rooms during peak periods.
7. Collaborating closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless guest services and hotel operations.
8. Adhering strictly to the hotel’s health, safety, and hygiene policies and procedures always.
9. Responding promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries related to housekeeping services.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
10. Previous experience in housekeeping or porter roles in luxury or upscale hotels is preferred.
11. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
12. Good physical stamina and ability to handle manual tasks including lifting and moving supplies.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-oriented approach.
14. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
15. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional nights.
16. Basic knowledge of health and safety standards in hospitality settings.
17. Legal right to work in Italy is required.
