IDS Italy, based in Spello and founded in 1996 by Diametra, became a subsidiary of IDS in 2014. Our site engages in manufacturing, research, and development of manual in-vitro diagnostics devices (ELISA). Activities include own brand production, OEM production of bulk supplies, unlabelled reagents, and customised packaging. Our R&D team also develops and customizes in vitro diagnostic reagents for IDS automated instruments. We are seeking a Financial Accountant for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent. Located in Spello, you will support the Deputy Finance Manager in managing daily finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, assisting with month-end closing, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting. The role involves stock control—verifying BOM accuracy, tracking stock movements, conducting inventory checks, and analyzing variances. As part of a small finance team, you will also participate in ad-hoc projects and various tasks. Principal Accountabilities General Ledger & Month-End: Post journal entries, support month-end processes including accruals and reconciliations, assist with R&D and QC cost reporting, cost center analysis, and prepare financial packs. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, reconcile accounts, manage supplier relationships, assist with credit control, debt collection, and prepare reports. Stock Control & Cost Analysis: Oversee inventory counts, analyze stock movements, review BOMs and costs, monitor stock levels, and optimize inventory processes. Budgeting, Forecasting & Costing: Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and cost-saving initiatives, support margin reporting and inventory costing systems. Intercompany & Fixed Assets: Reconcile intercompany accounts, manage fixed assets including purchases, disposals, and depreciation. Audit, Compliance & Ad-Hoc Projects: Support audits, external declarations, and special projects, collaborate across departments, and assist with IT coordination.
