Hauptaufgaben
Incumbent mixes and serves a variety of alcoholic drinks. Assists customers by discussing kinds of beverages available, contents, and occasionally mixing special drinks according to customer direction. May serve soft drinks, sandwiches and snack items. May prepare some items such as sandwiches and appetizers. Prepares fruit or decorations for drinks. Collects money for beverages or items sold and makes change, operating cash register. Cleans, collects glasses and wipes-down tables. Assists in setting-up and breaking down tables before and after events. Performs a variety of related tasks such as the following: checks inventory of liquor, beer, wines and other items; requisitions items needed for complete operation of the bar or informs supervisor of needed items; receives and checks incoming merchandise; places items in proper storage areas; cleans bar equipment and service area. Ensures area is clean, sanitary, and free of such hazards as spilled food or drink; secures bar at closing time. May direct waiters and bar service workers. Answers questions from patrons concerning scheduled entertainment, club activities, services available, etc.
NOTE: Incumbent frequently handles objects weighing 5 to 40 pounds.
Tour of duty is 20 hours per week, as follows:
-1st position: Mon OFF, Tue, Wed, Thu, and Fri 1600-2100, Sat and Sun OFF.
-2nd position: Mon OFF, Tue 1600-2100, Wed OFF, Thu 1700-2200, Fri and Sat 2000-0100, Sun OFF.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
Applicants must meet the qualification requirements as summarized below.
1. ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION;
2. WORK PRACTICES (INCLUDING KEEPING THINGS CLEAN, NEAT AND IN ORDER);
3. TECHNICAL PRACTICES (THEORETICAL, PRECISE, ARTISTIC);
4. ABILITY TO INTERPRET INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.;
5. ABILITY TO USE AND MAINTAIN TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT;
6. KNOWLEDGE OF MATERIALS.
7. DEXTERITY AND SAFETY.
NOTE: Incumbent must be able to read, write, and speak the English language, and possess or be able to obtain prior to entry on duty the "Attestato di formazione HACCP per addetti in attività caratterizzate dalla manipolazione degli alimenti".
