In this role, you’ll bring your creative spark to a business that spans iconic hotels, seaside resorts, destination restaurants, glamping sites, and more—while enjoying award‑winning training, inspiring support, and genuine opportunities for development. As an Assistant Hotel Business Controller, you’ll act as a key business partner, helping to drive operational efficiency, strengthen commercial performance, and ensure a robust financial control environment aligned with corporate policies and procedures. This role requires frequent travelling to collaborate with our local teams.

As an Assistant Hotel Business Controller, you will have oversight and financial responsibility for hotel activities, in which you will be supported by the central Finance team in the region including two Business Controllers. With oversight and financial responsibility for two hotel activities including Financial Management & Statutory Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting.

Reporting and Analysis
\n
Co-ordination and preparation of hotel budgets and forecasts
\n
Preparation, review and presentation of accurate and timely hotel budgets & forecasts in alignment with the agreed corporate budget timetable and with relevant stakeholders in the hotels
\n
Financial Control
\n
Completion of control activities and monitoring & review of performance against agreed key financial controls & KPIs
\n
Monitors and reviews Rooms performance against agreed key financial controls.
\n
Monitors and reviews hotel food & beverage performance and inventory management.
\n
Review and authorisation of hotel expenditure and bank payments.
\n
Review, monitoring and approval of hotel time & attendance data and weekly/ monthly rotas.
\n
Actively manage and review margin performance & operational efficiency, to improve hotel conversion and maximising hotel asset value.
\n
Act as Finance Business Partner and provide guidance to the General Manager(s) in performance review meetings including monthly management meetings, commercial meetings and weekly/monthly forecast meetings and business review meetings with the regional team.
\n
Active collaboration with other finance colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement & new efficient ways of working.
\n
Completed a HBO / WO level education in the field of Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Hotel Management
\n
Has at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry
\n
Is fluent in both English & and in Italian
\n
