Posizione: For our Motion Business Area in Traction Division located in Genova, we are looking for a Buyer. You will join the SCM Team and you will report to the Local SCM Manager. This position reports to: Procurement Manager Your responsibilities: - Purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms, negotiating with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions. - Initiate purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures and confirm delivery with suppliers. - Track goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing. - Oversee supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance issues. - Identify and qualify new suppliers together with supplier quality and engineering specialists. - Align supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price. - Support bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information and execute cost reduction projects. - Establish the demands forecast with the Global Category Managers, part of the Global SCM Team located in Switzerland. Requisiti: Your background: - Technical Diploma or Degree in line with the activities (for example engineering or economy). - Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures. - 2/3 years of experience in the field is nice to have. - Good Knowledge of Office Package, in particular Excel. - Knowledge of SAP is nice to have. - Good knowledge of Italian and English, both written and spoken. - Negotiation abilities, organizational skills, analytical approach and strong results orientation. - A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
