The role combines people leadership, operational oversight and hands‑on expertise in AP processes. Team Leader actively monitors performance and drives continuous improvement.You will be responsible forEnsure timely and accurate execution of all AP activities (invoice processing, vendor master data, payment proposals, payments, and reconciliations)Monitor daily operations and resolve bottlenecks to meet SLAs/OLAs and deadlinesTimely perform and monitor vendor payment & reimbursement related matters to ensure all payments are appropriateLead AP team for monthly and year end close, ensuring that the account payable is well maintained and closed out in a timely, efficient, and accurate mannerResponsible for monthly AP reports with comments on long aging balanceFulfill other tasks assigned by Line manager (Global Process Owner)Lead, coach, and develop the AP team, fostering accountability and continuous improvementSet clear objectives and monitor team performancePromote a collaborative, high-performance, and service-oriented team environmentProcess ImprovementDrive standardization, simplification, and automation of AP processesContinuously improve policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and controlCollaborate with Procurement and other stakeholders to optimize the purchase-to-pay cycleEnsure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and local regulations (including Italian VAT)Proactively identify and elevate process deviations or risks to the Global Process OwnerSupport internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely documentationYou will need to haveBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldAt least 4 years of experience in accounting rolesSolid knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP)Strong understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable processesKnowledge of Italian tax and regulatory requirements is a mustExperience with ERP systems (e.G., SAP S/4)Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Office toolsFluent in English and ItalianStrong people management and leadership skillsAnalytical mindset with structured problem-solving approachHigh attention to detail and strong control awarenessCustomer-oriented with effective stakeholder managementAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentTrustworthy, with a high level of integrity and confidentialityStrong alignment with company valuesLocationParma, with the expectation of being in the office three times a week.What we offerNo matter where your path starts at Chiesi, it leads to inspiring possibilities.
