Who We Are
Our client is is a major German insurance company that belongs to a well-known cooperative banking group. It offers a wide range of insurance products—such as health, life, auto, and property—mainly to individuals and small-to-medium businesses, often distributed through local cooperative banks.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain high-quality fullstack software applications, with a strong focus on backend development using .NET (Core, 5, 6, 7, 8, or newer).
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance services and databases, ensuring seamless integration between systems.
- Utilize PostgreSQL for efficient data storage, retrieval, and management.
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers and other team members to create well-integrated and maintainable solutions.
- Implement and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs to enable efficient communication between components.
- Follow Agile methodologies, actively contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and iterative development cycles.
- Work within a dynamic team of internal and external employees to continuously improve the application architecture and performance.
- Utilize cloud-based technologies, with a focus on deploying and managing services in modern environments.
- Contribute to technical documentation, ensuring clarity in system design and development standards.
What You’ll Bring Along
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a .NET developer, with a strong emphasis on backend development and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience in designing and developing services for enterprise-level applications, particularly in the reinsurance or financial sector.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including writing complex queries, performance optimization, and database design.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and deployment best practices.
- Interest in working with AI
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to optimizing code and system performance.
- Experience with Python is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders.
- A strong ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, contributing innovative ideas and solutions.
