The role involves close collaboration with external regulatory experts and internal international cross-functional teams to support local and global product development projects, research initiatives, and brand communication, underlining regulatory risks and opportunities.brFurthermore, the manager will act as the content owner and approver for mandatory on-pack information. A proactive approach to monitoring regulatory developments is essential to support innovation and business growth. /ph3Key Accountabilities /h3ulliMonitor regulations on food, supported by external regulatory experts and databases, and inform organization about all emerging regulatory changes in Region Italy. /liliRelease regulatory opinions on products, ingredients, communication, underlining all the necessary regulatory opportunities and boundaries. /liliSupport the local teams, such us Marketing and RDQ, to develop mandatory information on packs, following regulations’ evolution. /liliTransfer the knowledge to local colleagues (RDQ and other departments) on food regulations by training /liliContribute to the deployment and visibility of the Global Technical Regulatory Unit mission, purpose and organization within Region Italy /liliAct as content owner and approver of mandatory on–pack labelling requirements for Region Italy. /liliAlign with the legal team and act as approver of on -pack voluntary content for Region Italy. /liliCreate and update the nutrition labels for all products sold in Italy, ensuring compliance with the regulations. /liliAct as the principal contact for the Global Technical Regulatory team regarding food safety regulations such as contaminants and pesticides /liliProactively propose regulatory-compliant and business-relevant claims and food information, while conducting competitive benchmarking, within cross-regional projects. /liliDevelop relationships with local external regulatory experts and industry associations /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliMaster's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, or related field /lili5 years of overall experience in a Food Company, in the RD or Quality area, with at least 3 years focused on technical regulatory affairs /liliProficiency in English and Italian /liliStrong Excel skills and Hands-on, tech-savvy approach preferred /liliOpen to business trips to different locations (10 days per year) /liliProven experience in providing directions and guidance to other teams across the organization /liliAbility to deal with strict deadlines and complexity, independently managing multiple projects and activities /liliAttitude to work effectively in an international and cross-functional team environment /li /ulh3Additional info /h3ulliFull time, Permanent job /liliLocation: Parma, HQ /li /ulpAt Barilla, we are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace where diversity in all its forms is valued and embraced.
