Sécheron Hasler Italia is looking for a Strategic Buyer to join its dynamic Strategic Procurement Team. The selected candidate will report to the Head of Strategic Procurement for the execution of Strategic Procurement daily activities and specific projects, in a multicultural and international context.

Key Responsibilities
Manage sourcing for electronic components including PCBA, SMT/THT modules, cables, connectors, sensors, power electronics, and embedded systems.
Support definition of sourcing strategies based on TCO analysis, cost breakdown, and risk assessment; implement risk mitigation plans.
Support Procurement market research and development of specific markets. Lead negotiations and execute framework agreements, NDAs, and SLAs with national and international suppliers.
Execute the Procurement of obsolete products/parts and/or critical components (EOL, LTB). Execute Procurement projects: cost reduction on electronic and non electronic categories through sourcing strategies, supplier consolidation, and structured negotiations.
Support the Operative Buyers in the daily business.
Monitor supplier KPIs (quality, on-time delivery, costs) and track agreed improvement plans.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Industrialization, and Production teams to ensure technical alignment and operational continuity.
Support R&D projects for new electronic platforms, contributing to cost targets and strategic supplier selection.
Manage the resolution of non conformities with suppliers at strategic level.
Maintain suppliers and article data in the database.
Support the execution of internal Audits.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or related disciplines (3-year program).
English language proficiency at B2/Upper Intermediate level for interface with international subsidiaries and suppliers.
Consolidated experience in the same role for a minimum of 3 years in electronic components procurement, preferably for railway applications, with responsibility for critical categories such as PCB, PCBA, and safety-critical components.
Specialized in strategic sourcing management within regulated environments governed by industry standards (preferably railway standards such as EN 50155, EN 45545, IRIS), with focus on supply chain reliability and continuity.
Experience in defining procurement strategies based on TCO analysis, risk assessment, obsolescence management, and alternative supplier scouting.
Competence in framework agreement negotiations, supplier performance management (KPIs, audits, improvement plans), and technical team support for new solution introduction or cost reduction redesigns.
Accustomed to collaborating with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to ensure operational continuity, obsolescence management, introduction of qualified alternatives, and industrialization project support.
Analytical approach, orientation toward structural cost savings, and ability to operate in international contexts. xjrgpwk
