Job Description Design and development of boards and modules for defence and industrial electronic systems. The candidate will be integrated into the hardware design team and will be responsible for all aspects of the design process, from concept to series production, including designing and drafting electrical diagrams of digital and analog cards, PCB design, prototype testing, and documentation. Responsibilities Analyze technical data or preliminary specifications to define hardware architecture. Support the business development department. Consult with System Engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards. Design hardware architectures to meet input requirements, including component selection. Create multilayer high-density PCB designs using CAD tools, following electrical, mechanical, IPC, and MIL standards. Compile Bills of Materials and specifications according to internal standards. Assist in the assembly of prototypes, either directly or through the Product Engineering Department. Generate technical design documentation, such as board requirements and detail documents. Develop prototype testing and validation procedures to ensure requirements are met before series production. Test manufactured prototypes and analyze results. Prepare technical verification reports. Create documentation for Engineering Change Requests, adhering to configuration management procedures. Collaborate with Product Engineers to resolve producibility issues. Qualifications Degree in Electronics Engineering. At least 2 years of experience as a Hardware Engineer in digital and analogue electronics. Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation for testing. Experience working in a team with responsibilities for different design portions. Strong communication skills through meetings and documentation. Organized and systematic in maintaining documentation. Native Italian speaker with proficiency in English for technical documentation. Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes. Experience with Altium Designer. Hardware design experience with digital components (microcontrollers, FPGAs, ADCs, DACs, etc.). Proficiency with development/simulation tools such as OrCAD/Spice or similar. Knowledge of inertial sensors and EMI/EMC principles. Eligibility to obtain UK security clearances.
