The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing payroll activities while supporting broader HR processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth day‐to‐day operations.The role includes time and attendance validation, preliminary payroll checks, coordination with the external payroll provider, the management of HR documentation, and general HR support, acting as an HR point of reference for the site.The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of labor regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and HR processes, with at least five years of experience in similar positions.Key Responsibilities
Validate and monitor time and attendance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor regulations.Act as the primary point of contact for the external payroll firm, ensuring smooth coordination and resolution of payroll‐related inquiries.Manage employee documentation and HR administrative tasks.Ensure payroll compliance with laws, regulations, and collective labor agreements.Perform checks on payroll outputs, including payslips, taxes, contributions, and adjustments.Maintain and update employee files, HR databases, and personnel records.Support periodic audits, internal controls, and reporting activities.Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and payroll‐related matters.Collaborate with HR and Finance to support monthly closing activities and budget forecasts related to personnel costs.Ability to draft and optimize Standard Operating Procedures and contribute to process improvement initiatives, including payroll process optimization.Contribute to broader HR initiatives and support other HR processes when required.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration.Solid understanding of labor laws, social security, tax regulations, and collective bargaining agreements (with preferred experience in CCNL Metalmeccanico).Experience with time and attendance systems and payroll software with preferential knowledge of Zucchetti, PlanetTime and MicroWeb.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Good knowledge of English.
