For the Italian branch of an international group of companies operating in a dynamic B2B sales and distribution environment, whose core business is a range of highly technological products, we are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Finance and Administration to lead and manage the administrative, accounting and financial operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the financial strategy, ensuring fiscal compliance, and providing insightful financial analysis and reporting to both the Group Board and local management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Planning
* Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with group objectives.
* Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), providing actionable insights and recommendations to the Group Board and Italian management.
* Prepare monthly P&L statements, annual budgets, and periodic budget reviews.
* Plan and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
Reporting & Compliance
* Prepare and deliver financial reports for the Group Board, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Oversee the preparation of the annual financial statements and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
* Ensure full tax compliance and manage all related obligations.
* Supervise or execute year-end adjustments and reconciliations.
Operational Finance & Administration
* Manage general accounting, fiscal warehouse operations, analytical accounting, treasury, tax declarations, and administrative compliance.
* Oversee credit collection, banking operations, and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions.
* Ensure completeness of administrative documentation for participation in public tenders.
Performance & Cost Control
* Collaborate with the management team to optimize stock management, improve margin performance, and control fixed costs.
Stakeholder Management
* Coordinate with external consultants in tax, corporate, and HR matters.
* Manage relationships with auditors and the Board of Statutory Auditors.
* Maintain regular communication with group HQ and subsidiaries abroad to ensure alignment and consistency.
Requirements
* Degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
* 8–12 years of professional experience in finance and administration, preferably in commercial/distribution sectors.
* Proven experience with advanced ERP and accounting systems.
* Strong proficiency in database use and international-level financial reporting.
* Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
* Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Workplace Policy
This is a full on-site position. Remote work or hybrid arrangements are not available for this role. The selected candidate is expected to work exclusively from the company’s premises.
