We are seeking a Navigation System IVV Engineer responsible for supporting the design of processes for the assembly, integration, and verification of satellite navigation systems. You will assist the AIV Design & Planning Engineer in defining and executing test strategies and qualification campaigns. The role is based in Rome, with occasional travel for on-site testing or customer meetings. Opportunities for temporary relocations outside Italy may also be available.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the System Navigation Team in defining System Integration and Verification activities for Navigation Programs.
2. Contributing to the project's test strategy and Qualification campaign.
3. Defining the System assembly, Integration, and Verification Plan.
4. Defining the Operational Validation Plan.
5. Preparing Review Verification Matrices according to standards like ECSS.
6. Creating System Test Cases for Ground and Space Segments, including compatibility tests.
7. Supporting the definition of System Test Tools and providing requirement specifications.
8. Preparing detailed Test Procedures.
9. Conducting test execution, planning, scheduling, and leading Test Readiness Reviews and Test Review Boards.
10. Collecting and analyzing test data and preparing test reports.
11. Contributing to the Verification Control Document.
12. Participating in meetings with the customer and maintaining regular contact.
13. Supporting the System Engineering Manager in progress meetings.
Requirements:
* Fluent English, spoken and written.
* Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
* Experience in software development (C, C++, Linux/Unix, Bash, Python) and networking (LAN, WAN, IP, UDP/TCP, Security architectures, VPNs).
* Background in telecommunications, especially satellite navigation systems, is a plus.
* Eligibility for personal clearance.
