Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.\nWe are looking for an AFTER SALES ENGINEER in our site in Rome.\nPurpose of the Job\nThe main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to maintenance activities (on site or by remote) on Railway Signalling Systems operated by the Alstom domestic and international Customers.\nThe role includes the responsibility to manage warranty obligations on the projects in the scope of Alstom.\nPosition in the Organisation\nThe position will be part of ServicesSignalling Platform Organisation - Maintenance Team\nHierarchical and Functional report to the Signalling Maintenance Manager\nNetwork & Links\nInternal relationships with other Alstom Functions: System and Product, Application Engineering, Industrialization, Supply Chain departments, Installation.\nExternal relationships with Customer infrastructure operators and with maintenance technicians.\nResponsibilities and Accountabilities\nThe person will be responsible for: definition and implementation of Maintenance and technical assistance plans;\ncoordination and support to maintenance technicians on field;\nprovision of performances and log analysis;\nprovision of structured “return of experience” process by: reporting, statistics, etc;\nexecution and supervision of HW and SW retrofit and upgrade plans;\nprovision of support to Service Signalling Platform organization in the definition of maintenance strategy in tenders and offers;\nCooperation with product engineering in the definition of maintainability requirements during the product’s design phase. The position also includes the availability to perform activities outside of the Bologna Alstom site (25%) and to be part of the team that supports by remote H24 the customer maintenance team.\nEducational and technical requirements Bachelor/Master degree in Electronics/Electric/Telecommunications Engineering\nCapability to interpret electric drawings and schemes\nKnowledge of electronic design principle and methodology\nKnowledge of the most common operating systems (Unix, Ms‑Windows, …)\nKnowledge of the most common net protocols (TCP/IP, …)\nKnowledge of RAM analysis methodology\nCapability to use test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc…)\nBasic knowledge of railway systems and or transportation systems would be a plus Languages Italian: excellent level written and spoken\nEnglish: good level written and spoken\nKnowledge of French is desirable but not mandatory Competencies and experience requested Capability of synthesis and related written exposure\nCapability to perform analysis and to relate information from different contexts\nCapability to work in team and attitude to problem solving\nNew graduate or one/two years of experience in electronic or electromechanical company\nHardware and firmware design\nKnowledge of on site or remote technical assistance for Electronic/Electromechanical application Job Location: Rome\nYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
