Job summary:
This role is key to analyzing and securing revenues for our current pipeline in the EMEA region (Solar PV and BESS), as well as upcoming project opportunities.
Analytical skills, understanding of energy and power markets, and related regulation for PV and BESS assets and the power market operation are necessary to perform these activities. Monitoring the evolution of spot and futures markets, ancillary services markets, as well as fundamentals, will be part of day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities:
Accountabilities and outcomes
1. Regulation monitoring and support scheme analysis: Monitor the regulation framework of the EMEA power markets, focusing on support schemes for revenues of BESS and PV pipeline; analyze upcoming incentive schemes and review their regulation.
2. Auction participation: Support participation in auctions of incentive schemes for BESS and PV; define bidding strategies to maximize revenues and profitability.
3. Forecast revenues for BESS and Solar PV projects in EMEA: Analyze potential revenue forecasts for projects under assessment, both short-term and long-term.
4. Monitor energy and power market dynamics in Europe: Analyze and monitor the evolution of energy commodities and power markets to support strategic decisions; analyze and monitor the economic performance of merchant and contracted portfolios (PV and BESS).
5. Strong analytical and process management skills.
6. Structured, ordered, and accurate working standards.
7. Excellent teamwork, communication, and intercultural skills.
8. Proficient in MS Office tools.
9. Programming skills with Python or Matlab are a plus.
10. Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
11. Strong understanding of European power markets is a plus.
12. Self-driven and proactive attitude with initiative to take on challenges.
Job requirements:
1. 1-2 years of experience as an energy analyst, power market operator, or similar roles in the power market and renewable energy industry.
2. Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or Finance.
3. A specialized master’s degree in Renewables or Power Markets is a plus.
4. Fluent in English and Italian.
