Position overview
As the Site Technical Training Specialist, you are a key member of Ball’s Technical Training organization and the official on-site representative for technical training.
You will contribute to the success of Ball by independently leading the execution and sustainment of the approved technical training model and BOE Technical Training pillar at the site, ensuring consistent application of global standards while adapting delivery to local needs.
Your key responsibilities include
Leading deployment and sustainment of the BOE Technical Training pillar at site level
Acting as the primary technical training point of contact for site leadership and operational teams
Delivering instructor-led technical training (theory + hands-on practical learning)
Supporting new hire onboarding and technical training in partnership with HR and functional managers
Coaching and mentoring others to ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery
Conducting competency assessments, observations, and qualification of employees on critical tasks
Identifying technical skill gaps and implementing targeted retraining initiatives
Managing training assignments and completion tracking in the LMS, ensuring accuracy and traceability
Maintaining documentation and audit-ready records in the eDMS, working with SMEs to update work instructions and training content
Tracking training KPIs and driving continuous improvement actions based on performance and operational feedback
What are we looking for?
Minimum High School Diploma (technical/manufacturing education preferred)
Minimum 7+ years of experience working directly on the production floor in a manufacturing environment (e.g., technician, operator, mechanic)
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and make sound decisions
Strong ability to coach, mentor and facilitate technical training and knowledge transfer
Strong communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels
Hands‑on equipment knowledge with the ability to master at least 3 key pieces of production equipment
Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and electronic Document Management Systems (eDMS)
Proficiency in the site’s local language and English (written and spoken)
